Private Skating Lessons: Your Path to Success
For skaters of any age or skill level looking for individualized attention, private lessons are the perfect choice. This one-on-one instruction is the most effective way to accelerate your progress and refine your skills. Private lessons also open the door to skating competitions and advanced testing, fostering dedication and good sportsmanship.
Booking Your Lesson
How it Works: Lesson fees, which vary by instructor, are paid directly to the coach. Ice time and rentals are a separate fee paid at the front desk.
Find Your Coach: You are welcome to contact our instructors directly to schedule a lesson. We suggest watching them teach to find the best fit.

Private & Semi-Private Lessons
Each instructor sets their own schedule based on the availability of ice time and their personal schedule. You can contact any of the instructors listed at their personal email or phone number to discuss their availability.
Coaches private lessons fee vary due to coaching experience.
If a skater is taking on going private lesson a ISI or USFS skaters membership is required.
Private lesson coaches must be clear by skating director before coaching.
All coaches must have a Professional Membership and certificate of liability insurance on file at the rink before teaching any private lessons on ice.
All pros are responsible for explaining the Freestyle Ice Rules and Procedures to their private students before they go on the ice and are responsible for making sure their students abide by the rules at all times.

As a ISI Gold Certified Level Judge and Director of the Fenton Chester Skating School, her leadership extends beyond the rink. Many of her former athletes have progressed to collegiate skating teams, celebrated performances with Holiday on Ice, Disney on Ice, and even earned spots on countries national teams figure skating teams.
Bonnie’s experience coaching is for the love of skating. She has worked alongside Junior Olympic ski team members enables her to provide strength and conditioning programs specifically designed on ice for skiers to improve race performance.
About Bonnie Kirchoff
Born with a passion for skating, Bonnie began her journey at the tender age of three. Her background is rich and varied, featuring participation in sports such as swimming, soccer, basketball, hockey, track and field, skiing, and more. Growing up in New England, she represented the Vermont Select Women’s State team and played in prestigious tournaments against national teams from China, the Czech Republic, Japan, and Sweden, as well as members of the inaugural Women’s Olympic team.
After a brief hiatus from skating during college, Bonnie found her way back to coaching in Colorado, where her enthusiasm for sports flourished. She continues to participate in various athletic endeavors, instilling that same passion in her athletes.

Cheryl’s journey into the world of ice skating began in an unexpected yet heartwarming way—by watching her daughter glide gracefully across the rink. Captivated by the sport and inspired by her child’s passion, Cheryl decided to seize her own opportunity as an adult learner. She eagerly joined the Friday night lessons at the Fenton Chester Arena, where the thrill of the icy surface beneath her blades reignited a spark within her. With a determination to improve her skills, she sought out private lessons from accomplished coaches not only locally but also from renowned experts in Canada and Massachusetts.

Introduction
My name is Jeannie Clay and I have been on the ice for over 50 years!
For the first 14 years I was a competitive skater becoming a double gold
medalist in freestyle and school figures and silver medalist in ice dance.
The last 40 years I have had the privilege of being a Figure Skating Coach,
University Head Coach, Skating Program Director, Learn To Skate Director,
Choreographer and ISI Judge. I have achieved many accolades in my
professional career but what I value most is the knowledge I have gained,
training and working along side legends in the figure skating world as well
as so many talented coaches and skaters. I look forward to sharing this

I believe children and adults learn best in a positive environment where
they feel valued and have a voice in their education. We are a team; skater
and coach. This is the philosophy of my coaching. I also think it is important
to have goals which can be challenging at first when skaters and their
families are not familiar with the sport. As your skating coach, I can assist in
developing long and short term goals based on your input and my
experience. I have assisted many skaters reach their goals wether it be an
axel, completing all testing levels in the USFS and/or ISI programs or being
able to skate in an Ice Show with their grandchild and not fall! A few of my
skaters have secured principle roles in Disney On Ice and traveled the
world while being paid to skate…the best job ever next to Coaching!
